Belle was our first German Shorthair which we acquired as a family pet and hunting companion.

With no formal training at at only ten-and-a-half months old, I ran her in a NAVDHA Natural Ability test in which she demonstrated her ability to retrieve from water, find and hold her point on birds, and track pheasants. She has her Field Dog Junior title and one leg toward her Field Dog title. She doesn't get to hunt often, but she's the type of dog you could take out just once a year and she knows exactly what to do.

Belle is happily residing with my sister-in-law, Lori, and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Storm.
